A Complete Christmas Experience at Whispering Pines Tree Farm


A visit to Whispering Pines Tree Farm is not just about trees. There’s so much more. Beginning the Friday after Thanksgiving and continuing every weekend before Christmas, Whispering Pines becomes a bustling holiday destination that features a gift shop, character-themed wagon rides, a talking reindeer, photos with Santa, hot food, and complimentary hot cocoa. But of course, the most popular attraction involves walking through the 200-acre tree farm, picking out the perfect Christmas tree, and cutting it down with a hand saw. This experience has families coming back year after year.
 
Whispering Pines Tree Farm, located at 3694 Airport Road, Oconto, is a 30-minute drive from Green Bay. To visit the tree farm, take US Highway 41 North, about 20 miles to Brookside in Oconto County, and watch for the Whispering Pines billboard directing you to County J.

The goal of the tree farm is for families to have a good time - to be together in a happy place, preparing for the holiday season.

The farm grows thousands of Balsam Fir, Fraser Fir, Spruce, and White Pine. Guests can cut their own or select a pre-cut tree. Once cut, Whispering Pines shakes the trees to remove loose needles and bales the trees in a wrap for easy transport home. Whispering Pines even supplies the twine to tie down your tree for the journey. Trees range in price from $39-$69, depending on the species.

Whispering Pines Tree Farm is kid-friendly, with acres of tree-filled land to explore. Kids can talk with Santa in a cozy cabin and get something to eat, and warm their little fingers and toes in heated buildings.
 
The holiday shop, open daily from 9 am-4:30 pm Nov. 7-Dec. 21, is filled with thousands of ornaments, plus holiday décor and freshly made evergreen garland, swag, kissing balls, wreaths, and crests.
