Paul Bunyan Riders Snowmobile Club and the Red Arrow Snowmobile-ATV Club graduate 33 DNR Snowmobile Safety Course Students

The Paul Bunyan Riders Snowmobile Club and the Red Arrow Snowmobile ATV Club held a DNR Snowmobile Safety Course on October 29, 2022.  The event was held at the Town of Lakewood Community Center/Fire Department and attracted students of all ages.  Instructors included Brian Fitzpatrick,  Diane Fitzpatrick, Jim Wisneski, Larry Westphal, Sandy Wagner, and John Brantmeier for the classroom date of the course.  Training materials were sent to the students two weeks in advance of the class.   Instructors were extremely pleased with the student’s preparation before attending the classroom session.  Oconto County Deputy Sheriff Andrew Dryja provided insight into relevant information as identified in the Wisconsin Snowmobile Laws. 
 
33 students passed the exam and have successfully completed the DNR Snowmobile Safety Course.  Class participants included:  Dane Anderson, Sidney Berth, Brady Biesterveld, Jaydon Bollsen, Hugh Comerford, Jaden Davis, Walker Davis, Wendy Davis, Olivia Deneys, Marshal Drakenberg, Grayson Frederick, Sawyer Frederick, Tucker Frisch, Cashton Frisch, Ashton Frisch, Kendra Gauthier, Madlynn Hert, Eli Heuser, Maxwell Huntington, Mersadies Jacobsen, Jake Johnson, Philip Kimmel, Taylor Kimmel, Donavyn Lawler-Wortner, Darrell Newman, Fletcher Pahl, Kellen Pradarelli, Cameron Schroeder, Isabelle, Sexauer, Brady Vander Loopf, Autumn Worden, Lance Wiedenhoeft, and Landon Zielke.
 
Individuals born after January 1, 1985, must complete the course to legally drive a Snowmobile in Wisconsin.  Currently, that means that anyone 37 years old or younger must have completed the course.  An online version is available through the DNR, but younger students are highly encouraged to take the classroom version for maximum effect.
