The Oconto County Economic Development Corporation works closely with local and regional entities to collaboratively support county-wide economic development. Our goal is to promote economic growth and stability in Oconto County by assisting you as you locate a commercial or industrial building, build a commercial or industrial building, expand your company, or start a new business. We work in cooperation with local and regional entities to facilitate economic stability, growth, and diversity.

The County offers a wide range of business environments from the true Northwoods of Wisconsin to the northern suburbs of the Green Bay metropolitan area. 

Oconto County offers your business excellent access to markets as the map indicates. US Highway 41/141 offers four-lane north/south access to connect you with major Midwest markets. International air service is easily accessible in Green Bay. With a population of over 37,000 and a labor force of over 20,000, the County can meet your workforce needs. Almost 90% of County residents have attained high school or higher education levels.
Relevant employment data for the County is summarized. Dominant industry clusters include wood products, pleasure boat manufacturing, food processing, and medical facilities.

There are numerous downtown business districts in a range of communities with many unique and locally owned retail and service businesses. The northern part of the County is focused on tourism and recreational amenities.
