The Oconto County Economic Development Corporation (OCEDC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting economic development and tourism in Oconto County. Our funding is made possible through the proactive efforts of the Oconto County Board. Our headquarters are located in Oconto, and we have a professional full-time staff of two and one part-time staff member. With over 35 years of experience, we offer a wide range of services to support the growth and success of businesses in the county.
Our economic development initiatives include business retention and expansion, as well as facilitating the development of local resources for start-ups and entrepreneurs. We also work towards broadband expansion and identify properties available for development or redevelopment. Our goal is to connect communities with the necessary resources to achieve their economic development goals. We also provide one-on-one consultations with business owners and entrepreneurs to help them plan, overcome challenges, and succeed. All of our services are provided with strict confidentiality.
In addition to economic development, we also focus on promoting tourism in Oconto County. We publish the Discovery Guide, which reaches over 40,000 readers annually, and use our website and social media platforms to showcase the county's tourist attractions. We maintain detailed information on all of the county's attractions, including ATV and snowmobiling trails. We also collaborate with local communities, chambers, and business associations to promote the county and its assets. Our goal is to attract visitors and boost the local economy through tourism.
