The Oconto County ATV/UTV trail system includes scenic trails

and routes in the southwestern and northern parts of the county.

The Nicolet State Recreational Trail runs thru Gillett, Suring,

Mountain, Lakewood and Townsend and serves as the system

backbone. Over 450 miles of connected riding branches out from

the Nicolet and allows ATV and UTV riders access to Marinette

County to the east and eastern Langlade County to the west. The

Nicolet continues north to the Michigan border allowing riders

to connect directly to Forest and Florence counties as well as the

Upper Michigan trail system. Five ATV/UTV clubs maintain the

trails for use from May 1st until October 31st each year. A valid

Wisconsin registration is required. Trail maps are available at

many local businesses all along the trail system.
